MEET OUR STAFF
Connie Cleveland was born in Lansing, Michigan and received her B.S. in Engineering from Michigan State University.  She spent 10 years as the Training Director for Dogs for the Disabled before opening the Dog Trainers Workshop. 

Currently, Connie teaches obedience to over 100 students each week.  Additionally she offers private lessons, and conducts weekend training seminars across the country and internationally.  Connie's obedience experiences include 8 Obedience Trial Champions, a UDT Maltese and a CDX Shih-tzu. 

Currently, she shares her home with 2 Golden Retrievers, a Labrador Retriever, and a Shih-tzu, the most well-known being her Lab, AFC-OTCH Candlewoods Brother Aaron. 

 

Cat Perry was born in Greenville, South Carolina and spent 12 years working as a police officer for the City of Mauldin, South Carolina.  She joined our team in 1999, and currently manages the kennel’s training operation and teaches obedience classes. 

Cat has trained two Obedience Trial Champions and a third dog to a UD title.  She currently shares her home with two Labrador Retrievers, the most well known being OTCH Woulda Coulda Shoulda MH.

 

MJ Douglas was born in Youngstown Ohio and spent 20 years as a Senior Veterinary Technician at the Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida.  She joined our team in 2008, and currently oversees our boarding kennel operation.  She is also involved with our training programs, grooming and teaching obedience classes. 

MJ competes in Obedience and Hunt Tests with her two Cocker Spaniels, Ch. Woodja CDX JH and Ch. Digger JH.

 

Franny Falkenburg graduated from Mauldin High School and has since received her degree in Veterinary Assistance and Small Animal Care from Greenville Technical College.  She joined our team in 2005, but currently divides her time between our kennel operation and her duties at Fountain Inn Animal Hospital. 

 

Tracy Sosebee was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and moved to Simpsonville, South Carolina in 2001. Tracy has a Major in Animal Health Science and a Minor in Veterinary Assistance.  She shares her home with a Rottweiler named Bayeux CD CGC and a Miniature Schnauzer named La Petite. Tracy re-joined our team in 2011 as our Office Manager.

Tracy is also quite competitive in Archery and is currently the 2011 South Carolina Archery Association State Female Shooter of the Year, the 2011 S.C. Archery Association State Female 3-D Archery Champion, 2nd place in the 2011 S.C.. Upper State Regional Championship and is also 2011 National Field Archery Association State Champion in the 900 Round, Field Round and the Hunter Round.

 

Donna Brocht joined our teaching staff in 2008. Prior to joining us she was an Animal Scientist at the USDA facility in Beltsville, MD, and was instructing obedience classes at Canine Training Association. She volunteered for Fidos for Freedom, where she served as the director of the therapy dog program for six years and the executive director for two years. Her own obedience accomplishments include "Hanna" UD RE and "Winnie" CDX. She is currently training her young Labrador, "Kick" SH.

 

Pam Ambuhl trained her own dogs at the Dog Trainers Workshop for 13 years before joining our teaching staff in 2008. Currently, she works as a radiologic technologist at the Greenville Hospital System. Her own obedience accomplishments include OTCH U-UD "Tazlina" UDX2 MX MXJ JH, "Jam" UD MX MXJ, and "Mia" CDX AX AXJ.

From I-85 take I-385 south to exit #24. At the end of the exit ramp turn left on Fairview St. (Fairview St. will become Greenpond Rd.) Go 1 1/2 miles and we are on the left.
From I-26 take I-385 north to exit #23. At the end of the exit ramp turn left on Hwy 418. Go 1 mile to a 4-way stop sign. Turn left on Greenpond Rd. We are 1/2 mile on the left. Get travel directions to us from Yahoo!
