Meet The Team

Instructors at Dog Trainers Workshop
Cat Perry Cat joined the Dog Trainers Workshop in 1999, and is currently the Director of Operations. She oversees boarding, classes and training for pet owners and service dogs, and is responsible for all day to day operations at the Dog Trainers Workshop.

Cat enjoys training and competing in Obedience Trials and Hunt Tests with her Labrador Retrievers. Two of her three Obedience Trial Champions are also Master Hunters and one achieved a Qualified All Age status in field trial competition. Cat was invited, and competed, at the AKC National Obedience Championships six times. In 2016, Cat and Wyatt placed 4th in the first obedience competition ever conducted at the Westminster Kennel Club Show.

In her spare time, Cat enjoys fishing, photography, shooting and wildlife.

Tracy Lynn Juvenois Tracy, a proud Cajun from Louisiana, joined the DTW team in 2011. She is the Director of First Impressions. All questions (and many answers) go through Tracy. She has a major in Animal Health Science and a minor in Veterinary Assistance.

Tracy is an avid whitetail deer hunter and a competitive archer. She is a 2011 and 2012 South Carolina State Female 3-D Archery Champion, Female Shooter of the Year and a National Field Archery Association State Champion.

Tracy is the proud owner of a Rottweiler (also a Cajun) named Gumbeaux.

Instructors at Dog Trainers Workshop
Annette SizemoreAnnette is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. She taught obedience classes with us over 20 years ago before taking time off to raise a family. We welcomed her back in 2012, and now she instructs students in all levels of classes. When not training dogs, Annette works as a Histologist at Pathology Consultants. Annette is passionate about helping people learn how to balance busy households with well-behaved pets.
Annette’s experience includes a long line of competitive obedience dogs including Utility titles on a Dachshund and Welsh Corgi and an Open title on a Rottweiler. Annette is currently showing her Obedience Trial Champion, Circus. Annette and Circus finished in 4th place in the Masters Class at the 2016 AKC Obedience Classic in Orlando, Florida and earned their way into the Top 10 at the 2017 AKC Obedience Invitational in Perry, Georgia. Annette and Circus also finished 3rd at the Master's Obedience competition at the Westminster Dog Show in February 2017.

Renate MalejkaPrior to moving to South Carolina in 1996, Renate and her family lived in Ludenscheid, Germany and Georgetown Ontario, Canada. Renate joined our team of teachers in 2014. In addition to teaching obedience classes, she assists with our agility classes and service dog programs.
Previously, Renate trained and competed with a Shetland Sheep Dog, earning obedience titles in both Canada and the U.S. She is currently training and competing with her Bichon Frise, Oliver, in Open B and Utility B.

Jill LeakeJill joined the DTW team in 2016 as the Agility Program Director. Jill is an enthusiastic instructor and avid agility competitor. She is excited about the progress made by her DTW students and looks forward to helping them achieve their goals regardless of whether it means spending time with their dog on the agility course or competing at agility trials.

Jill moved to South Carolina from St. Louis, Missouri with competitive obedience and agility experience. Her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is OTCH “Derby” UDX2 OM3 SH. Jill is currently competing in agility with her Greyhound, “Baillie” who is now MACH Jawa Baillie MXS MJG. Next in line for Jill is a Whippet named “Beezus.”

Bonnie Gilstrap
Bonnie joined the DTW team as an instructor in 2017. She teaches obedience classes and works in our special training program for veterans and their service dogs. Bonnie has been involved in dog training for the 27 years. She has privately trained many pet dogs and, as a past director of Dogs for the Disabled in Greenville, has also trained numerous service dogs.

Bonnie earned a Utility title with her Golden Retriever, Corey, and now enjoys training and competing in Obedience, Agility, Herding and Barn Hunt Trials with her English Shepherd, Boots.

Tripp Berry
Tripp joined the DTW team in 2017 as an obedience instructor. He enjoys teaching dog owners how to communicate with their dogs. Tripp’s interest in dog training began with a Labrador Retriever he purchased for duck hunting. He quickly became passionate about competing in retriever field trials. One of Tripp’s retrievers reached Qualified All Age status and is currently competing at the All Age level.

Tripp has an engineering degree from Clemson University and works as a project engineer for a local concrete company. He lives in Greenville with his wife and two Labrador Retrievers. When not training dogs, Tripp enjoys duck hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
